Building Under Bed Shoe Storage

Under bed shoe storage – Many people want their bedroom to come with extra storage to free some of their closet space. The biggest waste of space in one bedroom is the area under the bed. Many people do not use this space, or if they do, the objects are not easy to reach. To fix this problem, consider building a platform bed with moving storage shelves that roll out from underneath it.

Place the two 54-inch pieces of two and 10 on a flat surface with the 2-inch side facing down. Create a rectangular under bed shoe storage by placing 63-inch pieces of two and four between the two-by-10s, with their 2-inch sides facing down. Screw this frame together with the wood screw and the drill. Place two screws in a vertical line at each corner of the frame. Run them through two-for-10 into two-of-four. This is the bed frame. Turn the frame over so that it rests on the other edges of two and 10. The two-by-four should now be in the “top” of the frame.

Measure 35 1/2 inches along one of the 2 x 4 pieces to find the center of the frame and make a mark. Screw this piece to the under bed shoe storage by running two screws in a vertical line on both sides through 2 x 4. Measure 2 feet 1 inch along the crossbeam to find the middle of the beam. Place the two pieces of 34 2/1 inch 2 x 10 inside the frame on each side of the crossbeam so that two inches of each piece is on the ground and they are perpendicular to the crossbeam.
