In 1934, Erie Sauder started a business by making furniture in a barn behind her house in Ohio. At the age of 30, he was making products, ranging from chicken boxes to cabinets, to farmers and local artisans needed. Erie invented the “knock-down” table, beginning a new era in easy-to-assemble and affordable furniture. The table was full in a flat box. When the client has the home table, all he had to do was take it out of the box and ride it. Tools or hardware are required.
